A project of urban subdivision, lots with buildings R + 3, for economic housing, with facilities and office area and shops. This project calls for promoting the diversity of the population, taking into account local lifestyles, climate and means to design adapted housing typologies, with quality outdoor and transition spaces.
Under this economic habitat program, bioclimatic solutions are adopted within the environmental framework rather than incorporating technologies.
The project designed according to the RESET principles, focuses on the desire to link ecological issues and access to comfort for housing. A study of the local climate allowed to determine the proper orientation of the ground plan in relation to the prevailing winds, for natural ventilation, the appropriate morphology of buildings (shadows, rainwater recovery…) and the indoor distribution to be adopted.
We have chosen massive stone walls to balance the indoor climate of the rooms. Buildings with overhanging roofs to provide the maximum amount of shade for visitors, and facilitate natural ventilation. Buildings are designed to rely on these passive cooling systems, without the need for air conditioning.
